PROCEDURE FOR GETTING A VISA

GENERAL INSTRCTIONS FOR VISA APPLICANTS

1. Visa application form can be obtained from the Embassy, or down loaded from our Website: www.indianembassy.mn.

2.  Visa requirements for Mongolian Nationals

i)  Visa application form fully filled in

ii) Passport valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date  

           of return from India.  A photocopy of first page of passport.

iii) Two recent photographs.

                iv)  Bank Statement as financial capability proof.

v)   Student visa seeker must hold passport with sufficient validity to  cover the period of studies in India.

vi)  Proof of admission (original bonafide certificate with a copy of fee recepit to a full time regular course in a recognized/reputed educational institution is needed.

vii) Satisfactory evidence of financial support is needed. A letter of support from the parent/guardian with a Bank guarantee could be accepted for this purpose.

viii) If applicant is below 18 years of age, a letter of guarantee about his/her travel to India is required from parent/guardian along with visa application.

ix) Business visa applicant must attach a letter of his/her company and an invitation letter from Indian company in India which is registered with any business chamber/organization.

x)  For Employment Visa a Contract/Appointment Letter from the employer.

xi) The validity of all types of visa starts from the date of issue.

xii) The purpose of the journey should be correctly written on the visa application.

xiii) There is no visa fee for Mongolian Nationals. 

xiv) An amount of US 35/- is charged for  emergency service for issuance of visa within 24 hours    for Medical/Conference Visas.

xv)   Registration with FRRO is mandatory within 14 days of arrival in India in case the visa or stay in India is more than six months.

For Non-Mongolian

 General:

• Please fill up the visa application form completely in English, stating clearly the purpose of the visit to India. Applicant must ensure that all relevant documents/certificates are attached with the visa form. Incomplete visa application form, in any respect, will not be considered. The form can be download from the website : www.indianembassy.mn .
• Visa to foreign nationals is subject to the clearance received from the Indian Embassy/High Commission in the country of his/her residence
• Foreigner applying visa other than tourist visa must hold resident permit in Mongolia. For applying Business visa, residence in Mongolia must be more than 2 years.
• Prescribed fee will be charged according to the type and duration of the visa.
